The houses we carry, and what each one is for

Black And White Leather And Textile Shoulder Bag

A shop with 450 pieces and nine houses on it is not a shop you browse end to end. This is the short version of who is here, so you can start in the right place.

The counts are read from the catalogue as this page is built, so they are what is actually listed — not what we hope to list. They move as pieces sell and as the houses release.

Who is here

  • Versace — Milanese, unmistakable, built around the Medusa and the Greca. Loud on purpose. 119 pieces listed today.
  • Prada — Milan again, but the opposite temperament: nylon, clean lines, nothing shouted. 71 pieces listed today.
  • Dolce & Gabbana — Sicilian pattern and ornament — leopard, lace, printed silk, heavy embellishment. 70 pieces listed today.
  • Fendi — Roman, and a leather house first: the craft usually shows in the construction. 53 pieces listed today.
  • Balenciaga — Paris, architectural, and the most willing of the group to be strange. 47 pieces listed today.
  • Saint Laurent — Parisian tailoring and black. Hard edges, very little decoration. 32 pieces listed today.
  • Burberry — British outerwear. The check and the trench are the whole argument. 27 pieces listed today.
  • Gucci — Florentine leather, the horsebit and the GG — maximal or restrained by season. 27 pieces listed today.
  • Michael Kors — American, accessible, and the easiest entry point here. 4 pieces listed today.

Where to start

If you are buying a bag, the useful division is not by house but by what the bag has to do. A crossbody carries a phone, a card holder and keys and leaves your hands free. A tote carries a laptop and stops being elegant when you overfill it. A clutch carries an evening and nothing else. Buy the one that matches the days you actually have.

If you are buying clothing, start at women’s clothing or men’s clothing and filter by size first. Sizes in this catalogue are mostly Italian, which is explained in its own piece below.

What we do not do

We are an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with any of these houses, we have no campaign to sell you, and we take no view on which of them you should want. The names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here to identify the pieces we sell.
